Love, Trust and Follow- Part III (Cassandra Nader)

I sometimes overwhelm myself with thoughts, with worrying about the future. What is God going to do? Where is He going to take me? What will I do? What will I say? Will I touch lives or make any impact on the world? Will I be remembered, or forgotten? How will I pay my bills? What am I going to do after college? Will I ever get married, have a family, children? Or will I live my life alone, unwanted, uncared for? The questions go on and on.

I have struggled with trusting God on many things, big and small. I allow myself to become overwhelmed. Last school year, and a particularly hard time, when I was struggling with trusting God, a friend of mine gave me a word of encouragement from Philippians 4:11

“Not that I speak in respect of what I want for I have learned in whatsoever state I am therewith to be content”

Since then, this verse has been a great comfort to be during troubling times when I begin to worry and feel overwhelmed. I love God and He loves me, I am His child and He is my Father. I know that He will always watch out for me, and as long as I follow Him, trust Him, and love Him- He will always take me to the places that are best for me. I will still have struggles, I will still have hard times, the road is not always pretty or fun or exactly how I want things to go. But I don’t have to worry about that because God is in control. I don’t have to stress and strain to see what is up ahead. I just have to keep my eyes on Jesus, and trust that He will guide my feet on the path He has chosen. I have learned to be content, no matter what the circumstances. I have learned to be still and know that He is God and He is in control. No matter what it will all turn out for good, because I love Him.

All I’m really trying to get across to you is that it will be ok, whatever your circumstance. We all have hard times, we all struggle through the painful times in life. But just trust in Him, He knows what you’re going through, and it will be alright in the end.
