Ambiguity • a lack of decisiveness or commitment resulting from a failure to make a choice between alternatives

We as a people today, cannot even make a decision of yes or no. We live in a sense of vagueness for fear of being wrong or missing out on something of importance on either side or for simply fear of being called out.

Working with youth, not being too far removed from “youth,” and now having children myself, many parents aren’t teaching children how to make choices at all, let alone, right choices. Simply giving your child a choice is not teaching them how to make a right choice. It is in allowing them the opportunity to make the right choice and being there for them in a safe and sheltered place if they make the wrong one. If the first “wrong” decision that they make is in an unsheltered environment, many begin a life of ambiguity out of fear of failing again. Most youth never think about consequences at all. Good or bad. They only think about what will gratify them most for the moment.

Proverbs 29:15 The rod and reproof give wisdom, but a child left to himself brings shame to his mother.
Wow, how I have seen this come around a time or two! We live in America... how dare we even place the word rod and child in the same sentence. And reproof? That will squash your child’s creativity! Like it or not, the Word of God is true. All of it, in its totality.

So you don’t have children and you are asking yourself “what does this blog have to do with me?” I challenge you, fellow ministry, youth workers and teachers. Youth are hungering for someone to show them they way more perfectly. Bus children and new families added to your churches are begging for lessons on the basics of
“life more abundantly.”
Fact: Of the Oneness/Apostolic people in my life, many of them can’t even tell me the 10 commandments.
No wonder we can’t make decisions. We have no basis for right or wrong. Okay, that statement was a little overdramatized, but so very true. It is time for the people of God to rise up and TEACH Truth. Quit being ambiguous. Stand for holiness and righteousness and disciple people to become decision makers. At least you will know which side of the fence they are on!

II Timonthy 3:14-17
14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;
