What Easily Besets You? (Lauren Guyot)

Recently I was asked if I had seen the latest movie "Gnomeo and Juliet" by a good friend. I responded with "No I don't watch movies any more. The only time I see a movie is at the daycare I work at. lol" In response the friend asked " What made you make that decision?" I answered " What made me make that decision is there is so much junk on TV and movies. I am putting something before my eyes that is not of God. And Yes people will argue and say you can control what you watch but its hidden messages and agendas that lie behind it as well. Every once in a "blue moon" I watch a movie; I feel these bad spirits. It's just something I choose not to allow in my home or life. I want to make sure I am doing everything I can to keep myself pure inside and out."

Every day is another opportunity to develop your personal relationship with God. If this means there are sacrifices I must make in order to live a holy and acceptable life unto my God who died on the Cross for my sins, than I am more than willing to crucify my flesh and lay aside every weight that my hinder my relationship with Him.

Hebrews 12:1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

Psalm 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
