His Train Filled the Temple (Bessie Caruso)
So many times we will hear a scripture that is read during a sermon or we will read a scripture during our personal devotion time and just keep going...we don't always stop (Selah) and really consider what the scripture means. I once heard a message that included Isaiah 6:1 that changed how I looked at that particular scripture.
I assume you are wondering, what does Isaiah 6:1 say!? Here it is: "In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and his train filled the temple." -Isaiah 6:1
Just another scripture...yeah right. Just another inspired, anointed, true word!
In the Old Testament times, a king would send his men into battle; after they defeated their enemy the King would walk through the battle ground and take for his men the spoils. But the greatest recognition for the king that he had been victorious was signified when he would have a piece of the defeated king's robe cut off and then sewn onto the bottom or the end of his own. For a king in Old Testament times, the length of his robe would be a sign or an indication of his greatness i.e. the longer his robe, the more victories he had won and the more kings he had defeated.

That's what this verse is talking about! The Lord's train FILLED the temple! I immediately think of a young, beautiful bride...the train of her wedding dress stretches down the isle of the church. That's the only thing I can even begin to compare the Lord's train to. Scripture says, His train filled the temple. That's how many victories the Lord has! Why should I worry about a thing? My God is fighting my battles. He is working it all out for my good! He is able and no matter what the weapon is, I win!
