The task ahead (Jordan Stumbo)

Throughout the ages the church has faced many challenges that would have seemed to have broken them; Persecution, heresy, false teachers and prophets. You may look at the events of the past century and see, or even remember first hand some struggles that have threatened sound doctrine. Yet always the members of the Body of Christ were able to come together and come to the conclusion that they wanted a deeper relationship with God and were able to dismiss false doctrine.

Now we come to the end of the first decade of the twenty-first century and the dawn of the second. My generation is coming up to an apprenticeship role in the ministry. In a few short years we will begin to take the reigns of the church, we will be those that seek the will of God and follow it to the best of our abilities. These decisions to follow or ignore God will either lead to great spiritual revival or to a great deception that causes millions to error and lose their souls for eternity. A weighty task indeed.
